I try, but I fail miserably mostly, except for one hardy plant.... <strong>Lavender</strong>!</span></div><span><br /></span><br /><div align="center"><span>I have had a bit of luck with lavender so far. The lavender plants here were well established when we moved in, so all I've had to do is keep them watered and pick the flowers off from time to time. I really love the sense of calm I get from picking lavender, it really does relax me.</span></div><span></span><br /><div align="center"><span>I am thinking of making up some scented lavender bags for some of the girls in my family for christmas presents this year. As part of my plan to keep the costs down and give some hand-made presents. I'm thinking it sounds tragically daggy but who doesn't like their cupboards and drawers to smell devine!? What do you all think, too daggy?</span></div><div align="center"><span></span> </div><div align="center"><span>Oh and the little cupcakes along-side it, are just to show off my op-shop find today! They are fake little cupcakes, which will go great with the girls tea-set! I couldn't have made them for what they cost, a grand total of $2. Oh and the lady at the op-shop was so gorgeous, she was telling me about what materials I could use if I wanted to make some up! Thinking I may just give them a try some time.</span></div>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05566626253815866043noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221025856682713873.post-77294921264232588532010-09-20T14:13:00.010+10:002011-10-22T14:00:24.471+11:00Oh Deer...cards and more<div style="text-align: center;">Whilst my very good friend A was visiting, I started on a new range of cards. To be honest, with all the laughing and fun we had that night, I'm surprised we got any craft done! I've called it the Oh Deer collection, for obvious reasons! I think Deers will be the next big thing, they are just so cute! I would like to do more cards, gift tags and even some bookmarks in this range. K really likes them too and went and found an old card I had made and told me I needed to put a deer on it! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span>Here are a few photos :)</span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimcOEGJMtWPQFvud4yDlj5iRRgZ5hyZjhPVAjhAFtyNdk5AJNWpsdoSsv3P2OgU8RZPKAfAbGD6sbMTgzPZyPP8C9ZhVQPqlQMKXSSj3Pwpa1SKAn-2llz_VzHdHijBf36RzAa679iCe_G/s1600/IMG_1723.JPG"><span class="Apple-style-span" ><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518848703666940482" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimcOEGJMtWPQFvud4yDlj5iRRgZ5hyZjhPVAjhAFtyNdk5AJNWpsdoSsv3P2OgU8RZPKAfAbGD6sbMTgzPZyPP8C9ZhVQPqlQMKXSSj3Pwpa1SKAn-2llz_VzHdHijBf36RzAa679iCe_G/s320/IMG_1723.JPG" /></span></a></p><p align="center"> </p><p align="center"> </p><div></div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF0xKCjC3mmWXQT_GpkvJeDE2tu-umT4cZu7cp00SDhuw-CY_oKjgQkb_XEX4kKPH_qczzaZYUyP5P25M4BSQxIqE0R46FbPYkYfUO5058nljlLG66snoF1OpISu005ikVhvc0USHtKKPF/s1600/IMG_1722.JPG"><span class="Apple-style-span" ><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518850571761947138" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF0xKCjC3mmWXQT_GpkvJeDE2tu-umT4cZu7cp00SDhuw-CY_oKjgQkb_XEX4kKPH_qczzaZYUyP5P25M4BSQxIqE0R46FbPYkYfUO5058nljlLG66snoF1OpISu005ikVhvc0USHtKKPF/s320/IMG_1722.JPG" /></span></a></p><div><br /></div><p align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvjf0EJTMHuZMJGorKifJdhSuVGYNAF8_r90H4UEP6LH-KXi8wEedA_QVZt0hSQjvlck1WWgZIkpwDlxDo1wPuMiSXI2DFR-ixhMfOQIFeTWshC49w6vF5dTjHOQKznavGQsE1kNzWQ09/s1600/IMG_1720.JPG"><img style="WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518846607787516546" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOvjf0EJTMHuZMJGorKifJdhSuVGYNAF8_r90H4UEP6LH-KXi8wEedA_QVZt0hSQjvlck1WWgZIkpwDlxDo1wPuMiSXI2DFR-ixhMfOQIFeTWshC49w6vF5dTjHOQKznavGQsE1kNzWQ09/s320/IMG_1720.JPG" /></a></p><div></div><br /><div><br /><br /></div><br /><div><span style="color:#993399;"></span></div>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05566626253815866043noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221025856682713873.post-559968111654369152010-09-03T11:27:00.006+10:002011-10-22T14:02:04.156+11:00Getting the guest room ready, yay!<div align="center"> </div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0JUGspj30C87SKMkWHKIJzJQBKkpm62f-daoaygotKVJz5FwS5yRNSPSi4HS9jVZ7exhK-wEDhFV9kPo_5HzP0KDrzbwPtA4a__3GJ3riVIVTi7du0YWWUShXzbPOW_zm6F0Pal0fs03e/s1600/084.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5512498444069243410" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0JUGspj30C87SKMkWHKIJzJQBKkpm62f-daoaygotKVJz5FwS5yRNSPSi4HS9jVZ7exhK-wEDhFV9kPo_5HzP0KDrzbwPtA4a__3GJ3riVIVTi7du0YWWUShXzbPOW_zm6F0Pal0fs03e/s320/084.JPG" /></a><span style="color:#663366;"></span></div><div align="center"><span style="color:#663366;"></span> </div><div align="center"><span>K and I have been busy moving furniture and setting up the room for our guests who will be here next week. I like the way it looks and I have also learnt A LOT about my ruffler foot in the process! :) I ended up doing one teir as any more would have skimmed the ground. Ended up finding a roll of hot pink tulle at the op shop for 50 cents and that is what I used as the ruffle, made it easier than trying to cut lengths of ruffle out of chiffon. Also gave it an edgier feel. Will be making one for Q soon hopefully.<br /><br />It was a bit too hard to try and get her to stay still for a better photo of course!</span>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05566626253815866043noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221025856682713873.post-71877777009565575022009-03-27T10:07:00.005+11:002011-10-22T14:06:03.303+11:00We love Charlie and Lola...<img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317647336328795426" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAJyeUn2aquUXWqptSUNDM97ghGu9K52RpKM62ShxmrXEZ_G6BMoD0xlMmxh4BuJUFQBlxvybes9qh1sKfBtTvMvxKW2_PPszqBjN6jHFceMcRwVldDTCMKekhXgC8OHywiFQBkZXb6W_0/s320/IMG_1610.JPG" /><span style="font-family: georgia; ">It's becoming K's new favourite, and I gotta say, I think it's a really sweet show. She has already put the t-shirt on this morning, I had to convince her to let it cool down first.</span>Kellyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05566626253815866043noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3221025856682713873.post-13885249187952510832009-03-17T15:08:00.009+11:002011-10-22T14:06:53.901+11:00Off the page...first try.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBlCz1TrGtqRGhtBD-OFV7Y1Xaz_fDUak5O87AsofJkD8UlSrX1QoUa-BiUQlTNvyWFggFKwsUIBMO0pcsCeRqI0E5S9f88AxOrXrIkCBdabb0zBnuI4AjAhyphenhyphenrnMa-Yj-KIXhRLoBNwDTV/s1600-h/IMG_0557.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 209px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 195px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5314005606345927778" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBlCz1TrGtqRGhtBD-OFV7Y1Xaz_fDUak5O87AsofJkD8UlSrX1QoUa-BiUQlTNvyWFggFKwsUIBMO0pcsCeRqI0E5S9f88AxOrXrIkCBdabb0zBnuI4AjAhyphenhyphenrnMa-Yj-KIXhRLoBNwDTV/s200/IMG_0557.JPG" /></a><span style="font-family: georgia; ">The top project was made for me by a lovely lady named Lisa as a gift when Q was born. We were all bored and decided to make some cupcakes. We made mini cakes so there would be more to decorate! I am not too fussed over the baking part, not my favourite past time, however the decorating was heaps of fun. Then I had to give away the cupcakes to friends and family so I wasn't tempted to eat them all! K and Q most enjoyed licking the bowl and spoon!
